Hi- just want to welcome all the "newbies" to the boards. I have posted all new members on the News Fader at the top of the home page- hadn't done it since early March, so there are 12 new members as of today!
Can you believe how much we've grown! What started as a small group of about 5 or 6 of us has really become a cool place to be!
Thanks to all of you members that have kept this board going, especially when I was busy with a lot of visiting family and friends for several weeks. It's nice to see that you have kept it up.

Hola!
First post to introduce myself then...
I'm Keith (surpise-surprise). I live with my better half on the Isle of Man, smack in the middle of The Irish Sea, halfway between England & Ireland.
So it's cold & wet... And that's just the summer!
We love travelling, so try and go to different places but we also love the Dom Rep, so keep getting drawn back there. Having got married in Bavaro 8 years ago, we've been to PoP twice, then in February, we went to Cabarete, where we are now in the process of buying property.
Haven't been to Sosua, (except passing through it) but will try and call in to say hello next time we're there!
Oh, us? We're both psychiatric nurses, my wife still works for the health service as a deputy ward manager. I work for a charity that supports people who have physical disabilities. If anyone is nosey enough, or interested enough, feel free to ask any questions.

Wow so good to meet new people, especially those who love the DR.
Where abouts did you buy property, my hubby and I are looking right now.
I would love to chat with you about your endeavour.
The more information we get the better. We have been going to the DR for about 10 years and this past Feb we realized it was like coming home, so we are on a mission now looking for land or a condo for retirement.
Please share your info with me. Thanks and greatly appreciate it.

Haven't been in the Heron for about ten years! Not too far for a taxi from there home.

Welcome to the board! The people are wonderful! ANDDDDD
You will just love the Dominican! Make sure you stop in for a burger and cool one at the Checkpoint. Mark and Colleen are the most fantastic people you will ever have the opportunity to meet. Colleen makes a mean burger and Mark has the coldest beer going!
Hope you have a wonderful time. Let us know where you are staying and after the trip let us know how the resort was!

Hola! My name is Deeann, I own the Tropix Hotel. I have lived in paradise for a little over a year, and love it more everyday. With friends like Colleen and Mark who would'nt love it! I send all of my guests to CheckPoint as soon as they check in. See you Friday for my usual double cheeseburger, and yes I want it loaded!!!!!!!!!!
