Hola Sandra, Welcome to the wonderful world of the DR. There are some great forums for the Dominican Republic. This and Debbies DT are 2 of the best. Make sure you stop in to visit Mark and Colleen. They are an awesome couple and have a wonderful bar. They can answer most of your questions and just plain make you feel welcome and glad you came. Have a great holiday. Make sure you take the trip into Cabarete as well. Also, explore Sousa away from the beach area. There are some great shops and less pressure than on the beach. Supermercado offer great prices on rum/cigars/vanilla/coffee. Wish I was there!

 well we are back safe and sound, whaaaaaaaaaaa dam it. It get harder and harder to leave. I am planning on doing a comparission post later this week. but for now, hugs and many thanks Colleen and Mark for the wonderful hospitality when we were there. Keep up the great work for Sosoa Kids this is one of the best causes I have come across to date. So worth while. Lots of luv and hugs Kristine and Alf

We are Ducado Del Montesol. We actually are making Wine and Booze here in a little village called Pata De Gallina. We have a wine tasting - free to everyone- at the Ocean Sands Casino - 7 April 6,30 pm. BE THERE and bring all your friends.

I am not sure if I will make the wine tasting tomorrow night- My Mom just went back to Canada last night and I am not sure if I will be up to going out to Cabarete tomorrow night- will check with my pal Stephanie though- it sounds interesting!

Hello everyone .....
This is Sylvia living in Sosua for over 4 years. Left England with my two kids to start a new life here in sunny DR.
Although its not easy living here we have a nice life.
Hope everyone enjoys their stay here in Sosua where the beach is a wonderful place. Plenty of night life and good restaurants and bars.
Look forward to meeting some people from this site soon.
