Now that was better US 4 DETROY-IT 2. The next pair should be a cakewalk. Wednesday and Friday vs. the wild. Everyone knows that if you come from Minnisota you don't know how to skate. P.S. Auld looked better than Cloutire.

I have to agree with my Bro, the plumber...the new rule sucks!!! A shoot out to declare a winner in a tied game is completely bogus. You nailed it, Mac...I agree with your statements...will have to get Marky posting on this board as well...should have a new computer by Friday! Colleen

I was a big fan of the outcome but not a big fan of how they got there. Shots in the 1st period 13 to 1 and yet the score was only 1 to 0 for the Canucks. In the second the Wild had only 6 shots and scored 3 times.Where is the finish ? The total shots on goal was 41 to 13. Where is the finish ? Final score 5 to 3 but we got an empty net. I was never a big fan of Cloutier, and I am still not. A couple of weak goals. ANY COMMENTS Mac

Hey Mark As you know, I am not a big Cloutier fan but last night he stonewalled Sakic about 6 times, mostly in the first period, otherwise we would have really been in a hole. The third period was a disaster but a win is a win. After 8 games we have 13 points out of a possible 16. In the Western Conference, only Detroit has a better record. Only 4 more games until I hit the DR. Minnesota home and away and 2 back to back with Colorado--in Colorado. Hope we can get 8 more points. The Sedin's are doing real good. A lot of people have given up on them but they seem to have filled out a lot and seem to be a lot stronger. Until Nov. Mac

All I'm seeing on this site is stuff about the western teams. The Flames and Oilers will be lucky to make the playoffs this year but Vancouver will do well.I'm from the east and a Leafs fan for longer than I want to remember.Harry Lumley was a friend of mine,so that tells you how old I am.I've predicted that the Leafs will NOT make the playoffs;they are too big and slow and can't keep up the pace in the 3rd period. The Sens look like the team to beat this year;young, fast and highly skilled. So suck it up you westerners,it's going to be a long season for you. Mark,if you read this, let me tell you I'm going to bring down a Leafs banner or somesuch in Dec.I'm sure you'll hang it at the Checkpoint with pride. Cheers to all Canadian hockey fans. John

You bet he will! Mark grew up in Ontario, and was a Leaf´s fan for years...after living in BC for over 20 years, he is a Canucks fan, but if they don´t make playoffs, we´ll be on any other Canadian teams bandwagon for sure...thanks for all the updates...it is rare we get to watch a game, they start so late here!!! Cheers! Don't you guys turn into Fair Weather Fans. Pick a team and even tho they lose 10 in a row, stick with them....until they don't make the playoffs or lose in one of the prelim rounds. The MacAttack

Make sure Mark sees this. Tonight, trade rumors abound. the Canucks want Roberto Luongo (G) from the Florida Panthers. They are offering in trade Cloutier (G) no big deal as far as I am concerned, but will also have to add Jovonoski (D) and/or Bretuzzi (F) I would love to have Luongo but don't want to part with Jovo or Bert but we have to do something to bolster our goaltending for the elusive playoffs. Hope Cloutier goes (see prior posts) Jovo would hurt, but I don't want to lose Bert. More to come. Mac
