Ok, I don't know about you folks, but I have had enough snow for this year. Here it is April 20, and I woke up to 6 inches of the stupid white stuff AGAIN!!!!
I keep a yard diary and last year at this time, I have had the lawn air raked, fertilized and gardens mulched, but not so this year.
CRAZYYYYYY!

Oh, I feel for you coppersun. Last week we got a foot of heavy wet stuff, and last year we got over two feet in late April, plus some over May long weekend. Tulips and crocuses are popping up, but I think they're being way too optimistic.

Well my tulips are really going to suffer the next two days. We just got updated again and the "SECOND" storm front is to hit tonight. this is nuts, we didn't get this much snow at one time this winter. Dam Dam dam! in fact my city made the national news this morning. Unreal. I am sitting right now at the computer in my office and really wondering if I should attempt the trip home. I live about five miles from work. lol good thing I have my mittens with me. ARGHHHHHHHHH I need to go back south!!!

Just to make everyone jealous. I was out doing some gardening today and I had to stop, because it was sooooooo hot.
Yesterday, we brought out the patio set and sat on the deck and had a couple of Margarita's. What can I say. We can actually still see some snow on the ground, so it is very weird to be able to sit out and enjoy the sun.
We got hit here in Ottawa really bad this past winter, so I do feel for you guys out West.
I was watching the weather channel this morning and they had videos of Saskatchewan and B.C. getting the snow, I could not believe it.
But even with the sun shining here, if I could manage it, I would still be in the DR or Mexico right now. When I am there, it means I do not have to work. Oh well, have to pay for the trips somehow.
Take care and summer is just around the corner (I Hope).

My gosh Kris, it sounds like a nightmare.
If it is any consolation, we experienced some of that weather not too long ago. I am keeping my fingers crossed it does not come this way.
Please be careful going home. If had been me, I probably would have said "de h...." with work and stayed home.
Take care and tell that hubby of yours he is a gem (but then so are you).
Till later..............

Lois - Yes, I saw you folks were in the +20s this past weekend. Lucky! Well, you got more snow than we did all winter, so you deserve some much needed relief! If the forecast is correct, we can expect some more white stuff later this week, but rain almost every day. Nice.

This is nuts, three days now, were once my lawn was bare and no snow left, to a lawn filled with about 10 inches and from shoveling the driveway, we now have banks again a high as my car!!!!! I can't see my tulips anymore, poor little guys. They are buried totally. Our city trucks were out sweeping the gravel off the streets, so they had to do a quick change back to the scrapers. I bet that pissed em off really good!!!!

I hate to say this, but we are expecting a high of 25 today. Too nice a day to be working.
It is supposed to go back to seasonal temperatures this Sunday, so we are enjoying our summer now. *S*S*S*S*S*
Kris, I have been seeing the news of what it is like out where you are, and I think you should book a trip to the DR right away.
Just be careful when you are driving in that white stuff.
Take care.
