Sounds superb all that sand sun and surf. Hope you can spare some seconds for some supping of our drinks and sampling of our food fare at checkpoint and see some serioulsly salient souls serving salable spoils.

We were at Breezes in 2004 and really enjoyed our time there. You can take a shuttle to surrounding towns - Sosua and Cabrarete. If you get the chance it is worth doing. We have stayed in Sosua the last two trips and again this February. Cannot wait to return to our favourite vacation place.
Try the French restaurant at Breezes if you get a chance, fabulous food.
Enjoy yourself.

Thanks Lois, I sent you a Private Message with a few questions - I hope you don't mind. As this is our first trip without my husband I'm trying to be completely prepared with info on the resort...
Thanks again, Judy

You will absolutely love it, just remember that holidays are what you make of it. We had also read some negative stuff but never had a problem with any things. So far the breezes would be my favorite spot. However we are trying a new one right in Sosua, and that is the only reason we are staying at the Casa Marina this year, as we want to be able to walk to Sosua anytime we need or want to.
The buffet is wonderful and they change the menu daily. Althought Lois says the french restaurant was good, we thought that the mexican was the best!!!! also the 24 hour snack bar is not to bad. BUT the best is breakfast! the shuttle bus stops right at the Checkpoint in Sosua, and Colleen and Mark are great sources of information.
Last time we were at the Breezes we celebrated a 50th Birthday and for a small fee they will do a cake and trimmings. Ask the conceirge at the front or your tour guide and they will make the arrangements.
Have a BLAST!!!!!

Thanks so much Coopersun! I am soooo looking forward to this trip - and really need some r&r.
We're definitely going into Sosua for a day, other than that, we may just lay by the pool or beach...
I'll contact the hotel regarding a little something for my daughter's birthday.
When were you at Breezes?
