we have just come back from sosua and the best place to eat is the waterfront next to casa marina reef hotel the food and service was amazing we went for my wifes birthday as a treat and it was that good we had to go back the lobster was out of this world if anybody needs to now any ? then email me at rcshaun@aol.com

The Waterfront is on the opposite side of the Casa Marina- the restaurant at Sosua by the Sea is Joseph's.

Well CHECKPOINT is my favorite of course.
It counts as a restaurant and a bar so it wins hands down. A cheeseburger and a rubi92. Mmmmm
Other favorites for me depend on the mood but I do love Atlantic Blue.
The pizza is great for take out and the seafood is fabulous when I want to eat in.

voodoo was good as well no its gone no more donairs they were good i recomend a afternoon trip to the long beach end of the malecon( pop) great atmostphere cheap beer mad locals good dominican music and a good value chinese restaurant in a small plaza with a couple of bars and other eaterys . liver and onions at brittania colleens burgers and chilli

Yes the Voodoo and its Donairs are missed. Does anyone know what is happenign with it??
Is it closed permenantly or for the summer ??

Nothing is ever permanent here...methiks if we all hang in there it will open up in a different form- we miss it bad, though!
Will keep all of you posted and let you know if we hear about it re-opening!

hello all in sosua how is it there hot i hope its freezing here in england.anything happened to voodoo yet ,castle burgers still going.has anyone been past seacrets lately is it open cos the phone is disconnected.if its still open can someone get me their new number .please . have you had much rain lately? has the season started yet?is it busy now? how big is bobby now? no more questions for now miss you all ,andy

hello all in sosua how is it there hot i hope Yes it is still very hot – can’t wait till we get “winter” its freezing here in England You have our sympathy.anything happened to voodoo yet ,Not yet, but word is that something is in the pipeline castle burgers still going yes they are still selling cheapo burgers[not a patch on Checkpoint ones though] but I believe ‘Vegas Dave’ has now left their employ .has anyone been past seacrets lately is it open Secrets is the same but don’t know about the phone cos the phone is disconnected.if its still open can someone get me their new number .please . have you had much rain lately? Last weekend was fairly bad for rain and some homes in Sosua were flooded. Also it was the same weekend that Mark, Colleen, Pam and Clive took a mini break to the Samana peninsula and the rain was just as bad. The only rain to speak of since has been during the night. has the season started yet?is it busy now? It has just started this weekend and hopefully will continue for many months how big is bobby now? As you have probably read on other threads here Bobby has unwell this week but is recovering nicely. He lost some weight due to his illness but as for his size, when we got him at approx 6 weeks he measured approx ½ a floor tile. Now he is nearly 3 ½ floor tiles – if that’s any help. no more questions for now miss you all ,andy Thanks for dropping by Andy. We all miss you and look forward to your next visit here.

cheers for the reply how do you do that ? its good how youve replied(i think you need a proper job!too much time on the computer not enough time at the bar) bit like me at work waiting for something to breakdown anyway thanks again best wishes to all and get well soon to bobby andy
