favourite bar checkpoint by far. a walk along sosua beach will bring you to the tree top bar very friendly and also good food

My favourite place to check out what's going on in the world, eat the best food and drink the best drinks is also Checkpoint!!!!!!  It could be said that I'm somewhat biased (since I am Coll's Mom afterall) but having been to Sosua a few times and having eaten at more than my share of restaurants, me thinks Checkpoint is the best of the best. I can hardly wait to try out one of those now famous hamburgers in January 2006. |

If you don't go to Checkpoint then you've missed out. Just returned home and planning our next trip to Sosua. Cheese and ham toastie - Mmmmm!, and they have a little Branston pickle left! Fantastic company and cheap strong drinks. See you all soon!

I went home early last night after getting back from Las Galeras, and Mark stayed....you should seen the shape of him last night when HE got home!!!

Be sure to have plenty of Barcelo Anejo on hand on the 24th of March because that is when I will be dropping by. Bringing Clamatto and cigarettes with us, do you need anything else? Heard your Christmas sandwiches sold out quickly, will they be available on a Friday and should we pre-order?

What ever happened to Bogies ? the mexixan place that was by the dive shop.
I think it moved to Villa Flora... Is it still there??
Is the food still good??
Any comments on the new Italian place across from the Blue Cow. That place has been empty for at least 4 years.
How about Waterfront South, still there??
or did they build that highway in front of the new condo ? LOL

Hey Robyne!
The new place across from the Blue Cow San Pietro's is owned by a friend of ours and is great.
Bogey's is in Villa Flor now and from what I have heard is still good. We're going to take Mom there soon.
Waterfromt South is still there- they have fixed up the trailer but we haven't been there since last summer...they weren't up to par the last few times we had been, but we're ready to try again. They had no beer or rum and no cordon blue twice, so we were waiting for a new report before we went back...will ask Barb and Linden.
You will be here when the new Britannia opens- wait until you see it- it looks gorgeous!!! Paul and Liam have put a lot into it.
oh, re: Waterfront South...rumour has it it will be a park but the trailer can stay there until it is done...that should be in about 5 years, LOL.

just wondering how rubi's bar is getting on? and is andys bar still going?also seacrets and castle burgers,how much are they now,whats vegas dave doing now?all the best to all in sosua.
