Hi Beverly- on this board you will find more english speaking people...even the administrator (me) does not speak french...sorry!

Of course, we speak English, but at first, we would try to find French people already installed in SOSUA, but at least, if nobody speak French, we will be pleased to exchange and converse with nice persons in English.

Hello Colleen,
Thanks for your answer. We normaly arrive at Sosua in June 2006. We were coming several times for our hollidays and finnally decide to leave in RD for our retirement.
Where are you located and what is your Nationality ? Are you installed in Sosua since long time ?

My husband Mark and I arrived in March 2006 from Vancouver. I grew up in BC and he is from the North Shore of Lake Erie, a small town called Simcoe.
We live at Condos Dominicano and lease a small kiok bar in Beachway/Bommarito Plaza near PJ's and La Roca.
We have a 25 year old daughter who has her own business in Vancouver but comes to visit us here. We love our life in Sosua and have ,many friends here. We'll look forward to getting to know you here, and when you arrive in Sosua!
