Hey Colleen What would be a reasonable price to hire a taxi for 5 to 6 hours. I don't want to screw the guy (which I am sure will never happen) but I don't want to be screwed. Should I be talking US$ or pesos ? I know enough Spanish that I don't need a translator. Mac

Hey Mac- are you talking about from Rio San Juan? Or could you take the shuttle in one day and hire from Sosua? If so, I have a few guys that would do it really reasonable. Poppo is our guy- and he is very cheap- ie: he drove some friends recently all afternoon to/from Puerto Plata etc, and only charges around 600 pesos.

Hi mac,
Greetings from Nova Scotia.
I answered you on Debbie's but I will repeat here,
"The shuttle runs daily if there is enough interest. You pay for it at Guest Services in the lobby and the last I knew it was about $400RD pesos per person return to either Sosua or Cabarete."
BTW Colleen and Mark see you next week, Giselle and I are at Sosua by the Sea for a week after I won the trip at Debbie's Dominican Fiesta this summer.
Hasta pronto.
