Hurricanes

I thought it might be appropriate to start this thread to let people know how the hurricanes/tropical storms may or may not affect the Dominican.

Could any of the folks in the DR let us know the effects please. I have heard that Ernesto hit the north part of the island. Is this true?

Ernesto hit the north part of the island

I'm going on Wednesday, so watched some of the hurricane movements. I'm 100% sure Ernesto passed south of D.R. clipping the south-west corner, then Haiti slightly.

Might have been a bit wetter in the north but the eye was well south.
