I absolutely loved this vinaigrette-style salad dressing, but have no idea how to make it. It had finely chopped veggies and herbs in it, very dark coloured, among the other dressings in the salad bars.
I meant to ask a staffer in the buffets about it, but completely slipped my mind. Now, I'm craving it!
It seems to be common as it was also at buffet lunches at two of our excursions off-resort.
If anyone has any idea the recipe and/or the name of this dressing, I'd sure love to make some.

Hey koolcat! Missing you! This is a great dressing- and it's all in the Vinegar! Mom and I think it's Apple vinegar based, with a light salad oil. Since we want to replicate this dressing ourselves, we'll post it here when we perfect it! Any other contributions are welcome, please!

Anybody have luck finding the recipe? I have a dinner in a couple of weeks I'd like to make this salad dressing for. Thanks.

Hi I tried my best but me thinks it is one of those secrets that the chef didn't want to give out. The best I can do is what I think it has in it: Cilantro lemon pepper olive oil malt wine vinegar small amount of marjoram cumin dry mustard ( it was in there but didn't over power it) crushed chili peppers ( not many) celery seed molasis (dark) fresh lime juice
I have a feeling that the ingredients are brought to a boil first with a pickling spice ball. then it is cooled and the oil added.
Every time I asked the salad chef was a little hesitant to answer but when I asked if things were in it he would nod his head. Hope this helps.
If someone is lucky enough to get the recipe please share with us!
