Hi all,
whats the general dress code for the evenings out in Sosua? want to make sure I dont pack all the wrong clothes.
for example; a couple of drinks in a couple of bars ;D ;D

hi There,
There really isn't a "dress code" in the DR. Some of the resorts ask that men wear long pants for supper, however, we still have not seen where this is mandatory. The shorts that guys wear are a type of walking or dress shorts. We have seen where people have been asked to leave as they were wearing blue jean cuts offs, but the dress shorts are ok.
We have eaten outside the resorts and have seen just about everything as far as dress is concerned. I usually take a little dressier outfit along for special occasions (ei. we went out for Valentines day and it was a dressy restaurant) we also feel at home in walking shorts, capris etc.
Pretty much anything goes. I do know that wet bathing suits are discouraged from lunch restaurants on resorts and shirts are a must for guys and coverups for gals.
