Hi folks, If your looking for some cheap flights check out the West Jet site, they are now running flights to Punta Cana and Puerto Plata. WOW FINALLY someone is doing this. I am going down to my agent in the morning to see how this works and if it is as good as it seems. Well if it sounds too good to be true then it probably is.
I was ready to buy a ticket tonight but from winnipeg I have to connect in toronto ( for about a 7-8 hour flight) for $780 per person.
Might as well pay the extra 100$ and go on shitty Sky Service Direct.
Maybe out of other Departures it is better ??
A few years ago West Jet did Direct charters from Winnipeg. It was our best flight ever. I know they sold out, maybe this is the start of it again, but this deal isn;t worth it.
Not from the Peg anyway.

Feb.1-Mar.14 return from Toronto, a little over 1500 for two. Fantastic!!! No more stopovers in Newark or Miami.Glad I live near the Big Smoke.

I have already booked my flight to come home for Xmas/New Year's to spend with family in BC...POP-Vancouver Dec 18th...885$! Unreal how cheap...a nice option for westerners.....

yep yep yep bought time but from here still a hassle AND was talking to our TA and she is looking at the schedule, no more Newark!!!!! Yahhhhhhhhhh ;D

Just over $1,000 per person return Thunder Bay to POP, with flight change in Toronto, of course. Leave TBay 6:30 am, arrive in POP about 3 pm that day. Beats driving 8 hours to Winnipeg and flying from there.

The flights are good for the off season but I think we are still going to do the milk run through Newark. It would cost us to fly from Edmonton on West Jet 1600 each return and the American flights we took last year were 800 each. sooooooooooo that means its about half the cost to fly as per usual for us. Dam!!! oh well things may change.  |
