Good friends are hard to find, hard to loose and IMPOSSIBLE to FORGET !!
The last words Mark said to me were "Love you". I can still hear them, and will forever.
As his memorial begins now in Vancouver, I raise my glass and toast my friend, who will be loved and remembered forever.
CHEERS!!

You know Robyn, your comment on Mark's last words to you brought a smile to my face this pm. The last words Mark spoke to me were at the Condos Dom. out beside the new 3 wheeler he and Clive had purchased. It went something like "this %$&%ing thing won't start". He finally got it going and off he went. Saw him later at the Checkpoint and his wonderful smile was back. Nancy and I also took a moment and toasted Mark this afternoon. His memory will live forever in our hearts.

Last night I hosted our girls card game and since all of us have had the pleasure of meeting Mark and Colleen, we stopped and had a toast to a wonderful man. With the time difference between here and BC, it was 8:30 pm.

You guys are terrific! I spent the day looking at videos and all of our pictures for the last ten years of the DR. I spent most of the afternoon looking at the last three years of our friendship with Mark and Coll. I tried to write on the forum but the words just wouldn't come , I knew you guys would carry on but for me I just couldn't thanks for carrying the forum for the day. love you all!

Just wanted to let you know that Lyle and I attended the memorial in Vancouver on Saturday. You could feel the love.
The slide show of Mark with family and friends was beautifully done. The posters displayed brought many a chuckle. Clives poem was very touching. We felt honored and priveleged to be there and it was good to share the laughter and the tears.

Pam and I plus a few close friends toasted Mark at Checkpoint on Saturday and we had a quiet moment for Colleen and family.
Thank you everyone for the thoughts, gestures and messages.

I also had the honor of attending the Vancouver memorial on Saturday. God blessed Mark's Celebration of Life with beautiful weather. It was a day of laughter and tears, laughter and tears, as friends and family stepped up to the microphone to share memories of Mark. It was so great to see old friends, Colleen, Maddy, Carolyn, Shaun (and the whole westend crowd) again, although I desperately wish it could have been under different circumstances. Most of us followed the memorial up with a good old fashioned wake at the Dover Pub where Colleen and Mark spent so many happy times in years gone by. I'm sure Mark was there watching over us, and laughing at all the shorts and colorful Hawaian shirts. Hugs to all... ...MarcyJ

We toasted Mark on Saturday, with some rum we recently brought back from Cuba. I've been looking at our pictures of last year's trip to Sosua and our visits to Checkpoint. Mark's smile is unforgettable, and we are privileged to say we know him.
