Thanks so much for the update, Copper. I've been checking everyday for news. Waiting to hear if the Celebration of Mark's Life will be in Vancouver or elsewhere - I'll be there even if I have to fly. Please let Colleen and Carolyn know they can call me if there is any way that I can help. Hugs, ...Marcy

Hi all and thanks for the comments. First of all, from what I have heard from Colleen there will be a celebration of Marks life held somewhere around Stanley Park, and as far as this sounds it will be on June 23, These details are NOT confirmed as of today. But again I will let her know that folks wish to attend so I can put this on here.
Colleen is planning on staying in Canada for the summer and returning to Sosua late September. These plans again are not set in stone but as soon as they are I again will post it. Or perhaps she will when she feels up to it.
When I last spoke to her she was sounding pretty good although there are still moments. She is one strong lady and so full of faith! I can see where she gets it from, her mom. I don't know how they do it. I am so proud of her and just want to hug her so bad.
I am going to try to talk Colleen and her mom into taking a road trip out to the prairies this summer, wish me luck, and was kinda thinking that anyone within the area or perhaps can fly into Saskatoon or Edmonton, I would love to see you all, or in other words we have a big house with lots of "company" room.
I am planning on going to Kelowna this summer for a visit with them, sometime in July, who knows maybe I will talk them both into coming home with me for a while. anything is possible.
So dear friends thank you again for all your love and support that you have shown and keep showing Colleen, It has been overwhelming and she loves and cherishes you all!!
Will keep you all updated. Lots of love and hugs kristine

You are so right, Copper! I've known Colleen and Carolyn for about 15 years and they are two of the most awesome women I've ever met! I live about 5 minutes from the Vancouver Airport and would love to be there when they land (even if just to help carry their luggage and give Colleen a big hug). Next time you're talking to them, ask if it's okay to PM me the flight information. If not, she can call me from wherever she's staying, once she's settled in, and I will be there within the hour anywhere in the lower mainland, any time of day or night - well, okay, it might take me a couple hours longer if they go directly to Kelowna. [BTW, tell Colleen that my house is halfway between Aberdeen Mall and her Auntie V.] The road trip sounds like a great idea! Especially since my July "girls getaway" to Sosua has been cancelled. I have to paint non-stop for the next month to get ready for an art show that I'm already committed to (on July 15th), but after that I was planning to take a week off and go Somewhere, and I would enjoy a drive to Kelowna or the prairies...BTW, there's over 500 km between Edmonton & Saskatoon - Do you live in Alberta or Saskatchewan? I'll bring a tent & sleeping bag. ;D {{{Hugz}}} ...Marcy

Hey Marcy, it would be great to see youout here on the prairies. I live smack dab in the middle of Edmonton and Saskatoon. Lloydminster straddles the SK/AB border and I live in Saskatchewan by one block, literally.
Coll, Carolyn and Maddy are flying into Seatle and are being picked up by her uncle I belive. I know she is sometimes on the forum but just doesn't post. I will certainly email her and let her know she needs to read your post.
Thanks so much and am soooooo looking forward to meeting you! Lots of love and Alf hugs. Kristine
