Good day all, just to let you know that the offender , oh hell lets call a spade a spade here, the chap that murdered Mark appealed his sentence. The appeal trial started March 6, 2008. I will let you know how it turns out just as soon as I hear from Colleen.

Well folks there is good news, it seems that the judges have upheld the original decision regarding the trial. As it was reported to me:

The three judges found no grounds for any further hearing, retrial or amendment to the earlier decision.

There is however a concern:

As Spanks was waiting for the documentation, so was his wife and his lawyers representative. His wife had a visit from a USA embassy representative to make sure that the guiltyt man was receiving all that he was legally entitled to and the worst part is that his wife was told that the case could be taken before THE SUPREME COURT.

The ruling is being read by the lawyers and once we have confirmation we will post.

This thing about it going to the Supreme Court is absolutely ridiculous.

I am glad to see the three judges found no grounds for any further hearing, retrial or amendment to the earlier decision. These are 3 smart judges.

Anyway, I have all the faith that the law will be upheld and he will have to live with the consequences of his actions.

I so agree Lois, and thanks for being polite! I know its so bloddy hard when talking about this. As far as I am concerned there is no reason to even go any further and he needs to stop. However in my opinion after two sets of three judges have tried and reviewed this its final. But as I said in my other post, until I get Carlos feed back I just can't feel sure it is completed. I again will let you all know or perhaps Coll will post something more.
