Colllen, haven't been able to catch you on MSN. I was wondering if you got the package I sent you. Scott didn't get into Sousa until Saturday and he left the package at the bar. His wife and the other lady went to the info session given on the resort and then they wouldn't go into town to book their excursions because they were afraid so they booked through the rep. He did say he had a couple of cold ones at the Checkpoint.

Yes I got the package- in fact I was just outside enjoying a glass of wine and some Hawkins!
Too bad they didn't venture out- people's biggest mistake when
enjoying the all inclusives...hopefullt more will read our posts and realize there is a lot more to see when you DO venture out! (not to mention $$ to be saved!)

Hi Colleen and Mark, Sent you a PM re Karen coming out here next week. Excited to see her, just wish we were able to return with her! Actually it has been sunny out here for the last 2 days and is supposed to continue. Will have to wait and see. Put the bathing suit top on and closed my eyes, clicked my heels together. Sadly, I was still sitting in my driveway, but the sun was shining-it was not a dream!

Hi Colleen & Mark:

First of all, I hope you and Mark are enjoying your new home.

It has been awhile since I have posted on the forum, but I am always thinking of Sosua and the Checkpoint and can't wait until February 2008 until Phil and I see you guys again. I am also hoping that Brenda and Christine will be there at the same time and we can get together.

Summer is fast approaching and I am getting ready to plant my gardens.

We have bought a used RV and plan on doing some camping this summer, but not the same as vacationing in the Dominican.

Besides that, life is good. Working hard to save my pennies (pesos) for February. My son Scott and his wife Shannon are still hoping to be able to come back with us.

Enjoy your tropical paradise.

Hey Sunny, great to see you posting again. I "met" you a long time ago on Deb's board - thanks for recommending the Checkpoint Sosua message board to me - I've made so many new friends here and have definitely decided on Sosua for my summer vacation. I'll be staying at Casa Marina with my daughter for a week near the end of July. I feel so at home on this board because there are so many Canadians here and they're all so friendly, it's going to seem like I already have friends when I get to the D.R.
I am forever grateful to you for pointing me in the direction of Sosua and this board.

It was my pleasure Rusty, you won't meet nicer people than Mark and Colleen. When you do venture into Sousa, be sure to do it on a week day before 4:00 because that is when Mark and Colleen are there. Thursdays and Fridays are when you can have one of Colleen's deadly cheeseburgers.
