If reference to blow dryers, most resorts in the Dominican supply blow dryers and as well in Cuba. Our first trip I took a hair blower and realized that most resorts have them. In my experience in the Dominican, we have not had to buy an adapter to convert the voltage as it has been the same voltage. In Cuba, that is a different story.
Hope this helps.

I have always been able to just plug in our stuff. Blowdryer, staightening iron, laptop, dvd, nintendo ds, etc etc However never use mt dryer or staightener so have stopped bringing it. Remember it is very humid so your staight hair will be fluffy and your fluffy hair will be fluffier. What ever you do with your hair it will be naturally undone within the hour, so relax and just have fun. Not sure where you are staying but as said most resorts have dryers I always stay in a small place in Sosua and have never had any trouble. I vote make a ponytail and have more time drinking. See you all soon Robyne

Like Robyne2000 said ,I have never had a problem with any electrical item that I bring, they always work whenver I plug them in. As for all resorts supplying hair dryers, remember that some don't. As far as irons you may need to request one from the fron t desk, depending on what resort you are at.
And I do agree with using a hair straightener, I think the pony tail is the way to go while on vacation, no matter how many times my daughter used the flat iron , half an hour later it was bac to hari pulled back and pony tail.(lol)

Thanks everyone I hope you don't think I'm so worried about what my hair is going to look like. lol Trust me ...my main concern is to have fun (no matter what I look like) I do like using my straightener...only because I have a weird cowlic thing happening. My hair is too short for a ponytail...wish I never cut it. But thanks for the info... I'll pack it just in case (probably won't even use it)
4 weeks and I'll be there!!!
