Home again!

Well we are home again in Canada. Arrived to a beautiful day of sunshine and it was only 2 above. Water running everywhere.
Have lots of things to share with the forum members but will take me a couple of days to get my head back into working mode.
All I can think about right now are the wonderful folks we left in Sosua. The new friends we met and the great people we renewed friendships with.
Spanks, there are just no words to express our love for you and Pam. ( but trust me I will say them soon)

Colleen and Mark, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all that you did for us when we were there. I am very teary when I think about you both! Sisters forever!
We love you both so very much!

Robyne, girlfriend!, you are so great!!!! what a pleasure to meet and hug you! We are sorry we didn't get to say good bye to you in person but we will definately get together soon!

Caroline, how do I express to you my thoughts, I feel that I have known you for ever and we will keep in touch, and I thank you for your friendship!

Ed, I don't know if you are on the forum or not, but will email you soon. Thank you for your friendship and it is our pleasure to get to know you. and your wonderful bride to be! lots of love and hugs to the both of you!

Kathy and Dave, what a wonderful time we had with you! So glad we only live three hours apart as I know we will be sitting haveing a beer or two really soon! I feel so blessed to have you in our lives now.

Brook, Brenda, Karen and Dave, you guys rock! thanks so much for your friendship and making us feel so at home!

Karen, I am in awe of the work you do with the Sosua kids, please keep in touch and I will share so much of the information I gathered with the folks on the forum and other places. Keep up the great work!

All the wonderful people we met at the Checkpoint hope to see you soon on the forum!

Greetings everyone!! Only have been home for 6 days and I am ready to go on vacation again. Housework and cooking, ugh!
Those are 2 main reasons why I enjoy my holiday so much, don't have to do either!
Weather is good though, we must have dragged some of that heat back with us.
Anyway, thanks for the kind words copper. You and Alf are definately "stuck" with us now. And to all of you back at home or living in paradise, I miss you already and can hardly wait until we are together again.

Like everyone else, we are also back home and have been back to work now for two weeks . It takes awhile to adjust after the nice hot weather and the 2 weeks of vacation to get back into the swing of things.

It was really nice to meet everyone and Colleen and Mark the work you do for the Sousa kids is great. The four of us stopped by on our last day, but Colleen you were so busy with the fund raiser we did not get a chance to say goodbye in person. We have already booked for next year and cannot wait to see you guys again.

It was great meeting some of the people from the forum and hope to see you all again next year, until then, at least we have this forum.

P.S. Hopefully we have had our last snowfall yesterday here in the Ottawa area.

Hi Brenda:

We have booked for the same place at the Victorian House. Once we retire we will look at maybe booking a condo for a month or so, but right now, we only have weeks instead of months for vacation.

We have actually booked for three weeks next year, but will probably only be able to go for two weeks. The weeks we have booked (if I remember correctly) are February 9th to March 1st. We have to look into flights and go from there.

Can we plan on seeing you there again at the same time?

Hey there lois,
was sorry not to be able to spend more time with you, and am sure delighted to have met you for the second time.

We also have booked already, we will be there Feb 1 to March 7, it is amazing how we manage to stretch out the stay every year.

so are already counting down. We also hope to go for a short week in August. There are many things we want to see in the off season. and in particular to see if the hubby can handle the heat. I know I sure can!!!!!
