Hi everyone
Has anyone been to the new jewellery stores in Sosua and bought jewellery?(Premium Jewellery,or Joyeria)I'm looking to buy some nice amber necklaces,bracelets or rings in sterling for my daughters when we go in Mar.What are the prices like?

I am not sure if there are any new stores but the best one I have found in Sosua is Patricks Silver Smithy. Good prices etc. He also has silver with amber and larimar. Will let you know prices when I get back.

Patrick's is good but there is another jewelry shop that I would recommend. It's off Pedro Clisante in the middle of Sosua.(I forget the name. It's a short walk north). He's very knowledgeable and his prices are good. My wife and I have bought from him every year for the last 3 years. He used to have a shop in Montreal. Colleen probably knows who I'm talking about. We'll be there next week and I know we'll be visiting him.

Hey there! I believe you are talking about Hugo's- it's on the same street as the school.
We also have shopped there and send people there- especially for gold.
He has some very interesting designs, does custom designs and is a very nice man.

Premium Joyeria is a new shop- owned by Alan, who used to work for Harrison's. His prices are good, so I suggest you go on what you like- browse the three shops listed above and compare- then buy what you really like.

All these places sound great. My husband and I are coming in March and I always like to buy a piece of jewelry while on vacation. Can you give me an idea of where all these shops are?

I have been to Sosua 4 times and have bought jewellery from Patrick also from Harrisons.I will certainly be checking all of them out in Mar.Thanks to all of you for the info.

If Hugo is the gentleman in the Joyeria(blue building) off of Pedro Clisante, he has some really interesting pieces and good prices too. I am certainly going back to him when I visit next time.

Hi all,
we bought some at the Premium Joyeria near the CMR.
He has some nice amber and Larimar-Stuff for good prices.
He learned at Harrisons and makes his own designs.
