As some of you guys know, my son moved to Edmonton on Christmas day. Well just as we were leaving for the airport we found out the flight had been canceled and he was rescheduled for a later flight. Well he received a letter today telling him that to apologize for the inconvenience they have set up a credit for the full amount of his flight before taxes. I thought this was a very nice gesture on their part and quite a surprise.

Hey Sunny- thanks for your input- you know, I remember when West Jet started their first flights...no travel agencies would TOUCH THEM because a few airlines had gone under recently before they started flying...I was with a large agency that gave them support and they were awesome. We encouraged our customers to use them and never regretted it. After I started my own business I still booked them and got the best customer service an airline has EVER given me as a business owner. Kudos to WestJet and to anyone who remains a faithful customer!!!

I travelled West Jet to Vancouver to visit my best friend and spend her 50th at the end of November. The first big snowfall occured that weekend and getting to Calgary was no problemo, but leaving from Calgary proved to be! Some of us had an extra 6 hour layover, some a 10 hour layover and some an overnighter. Got a $10. meal voucher, made the best of it, and got home. My return trip was basically booked on a previous credit voucher, so you can imagine my surprise when about a week after getting home I got a letter from them, thanking me for my patronage, with a voucher equal to the cancelled flight on the way home! So, I flew on a voucher and now have another voucher which will take me once again to Vancouver for only about $60. bucks out of my pocket for a return flight this summer or fall (if I can prebook a sale). I love Westjet and I would never book any other airline but them, if they are flying wherever I want to go. They have definately made me a loyal customer due to the outstanding service they have always provided me and hubby without us even asking. Westjet rules in my world.

I've heard rumours that West Jet might be offering regularly scheduled flights to the DR starting sometime in the near future. I wrote them asking that very question but have not heard back from them. Has anyone else heard these rumours? It would be terrific to fly direct to POP from either TO or Ham.

As a UK citizen, it is incredible to hear good feedback about an airline. All the Brits ever do is complain about the service [or non-service] they receive. Much of it is caused by them using the cheapo bucket-shop airlines then expecting the world.
If West Jet are as good as some of the reports I have heard, then well done and keep it up ----------- and please let everyone tell everyone else

WestJet rocks! They are THE best airline in Canada. Air Canada doesn't even come close, they can never match WestJet's prices, service and flight schedules. WestJet should get into the vacation package charter business, especially to Caribbean destinations. I would fly exclusively with them if that does happen. I have also heard rumours that WestJet may get into the package vacation sector to compete head-to-head with Air Canada, Sunquest, Sunwing, Signature, Air Transat, etc. I hope so. Air Canada's vacation packages, especially to tropical destinations, are grossly overpriced and flight schedules not very good, in my opinion. If WestJet does get into that market, I will gladly promote their packages and encourage vacationers in Northwestern Ontario to give WestJet their business. I was disappointed with the minimal number of people who boarded our flight from Thunder Bay to the DR over two weeks ago. 3/4 of the plane was full from London, Ont., passengers. It's no wonder that we don't have regular flights annually from Thunder Bay to the DR. I have no desire to go to Mexico any time soon. I don't care how cheap the packages are. www.tbtv.com/News-Story.aspx?cid=90763
