That's a long way off yet, but hey, doesn't time fly quickly especially as we get older it seems to go even quicker. Therefore the 188 [approx ] slleps will seem like about ninety.
we are looking forward to your visit

Hi Clive. You're right, time does fly when we get older (albeit not fast enough sometimes). We're down to 162 sleeps already. Sounds like there will be lots of us there to party with you. Miss you, and hope you Pam, Bobby and Princess are well. Take care! mp

Hi Everyone:
We are also planning on coming back to Sosua leaving February 16 to March 1, 2008 (2 weeks, as 1 week is just not long enough). Not like we are counting the days either.
This will be our 6th trip to the Dominican and our fourth to Sosua, so you can tell we love it there.
Looking forward to seeing you again at Checkpoint.
Take care everyone.

Don & I are arriving in POP - staying at the Gran Ventana on Feb. 23 for 2 weeks. Will definitely be coming to Sosua - we were the high bidders at the Dominican Fiesta on a gift certificate from Checkpoint that Colleen so graciously donated to Beyond the Beach Children's Foundation.
We had the double bacon cheeseburgers in December and LOVED them! Hope there is some Miracle Whip to go on them this time.... ;D

Hello Dot! Seems that there will be a few of us holidaying in February. We should plan to do a mini-fiesta again this year as there will be a good crowd. It would be really nice to meet you and Don! Everybody think it's a great idea? We can plan for a "day" later on when the time comes closer. How about it Clive, can you handle all of us all at once?? mp

Hi Everyone:
We have had to change our dates for our trip due to flights leaving Ottawa for a 2 week period.
We will now be leaving Ottawa February 2 and staying in Carbarete from February 2 - 9, 2008 and in Sosua from February 9 - 16, 2008.
I am glad to see Coppersun2001 that you will be there at the same time.
At least, we are still coming to the beautiful Dominican Republic.
It seems strange to be planning our trip when the weather here is 28c today and the rest of the week looks pretty good, all in the 20's.
Take care everyone and see you in February.

Wow! It looks like quite a few of us will be escaping the good old Canadian winter again this Feb. The boss and I will be arriving on Westjet Feb.1 for two months and to say we're looking forward to it would be an understatement. Another positive is the new direct flight from TO to POP. What a relief!! No more US Customs and no more transfers in Newark or Miami. I hope to be at the Checkpoint for a cold pint no later than 5:00 pm, so get ready Spanky. We're both looking forward to renewing old acquaintances and making new ones as well. Colleen, As I write this you and your mom are on your way to Sosua and I just want to say that Nancy and I are so looking forward to seeing you both in Feb. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you each day. Be strong. We all love you.

Hi Loose, good to hear you and the boss are going down again this year. We will look forward to seeing you both. Perhaps we can look for more antiquities ( chuckle) for you to bring home. Anyway, I spoke to Colleen and Carolyne last Wed. nite before they were to fly on friday, both were in good spirits and looking forward to getting to the DR to get things settled. Look forward to see you both, lots of hugs Copper

Copper, I'll have you know that our"antiquities" have pride of place in our living room and I expect to buy more this winter. One can't have too many ancient artifacts in one's home, right? Hope everyone can keep in touch until Feb, when we can all get together at Checkpoint for a bevy or two. We can also organize stuff to take down for Sosua Kids. Cheers, Loosehead
