Talk about last minute! Probably way too late, don't know why I didn't think to ask on here sooner...
Arriving in DR on Wednesday. Have to buy furnishings etc for the apartment. Anyone (Colleen??!?!?) living in DR able to give me some advice on where to go to buy stuff?
Furniture, TV's and fridges appear to be expensive compaired to Europe, would you say that was true? Or is there a 'tourist price' and a local price? I don't want to haggle but don't want to get ripped off either.
We're buying some beds and furniture from a shop in Sosua, where they make it, on the right if you are heading towards Cabarete, next door to a store that sells fridges & TV's.
