Ok I admit, I absolutely love Elton John, so when our local radio station announced that they were holding a contest to win two tickets to see him in Edmonton, I was overjoyed, as the tickets were sold out in 5 minutes.
You had to enter the contest then listen for your name on the radio station. If you heard your name then you had 9 minutes and 37 seconds to call the station and register. So this is how my morning went.............................
Good Morning.
Let me tell you about this morning. Heard my name on the radio just as my alarm went off 0714 hours, looked for pen, found pen, no paper, got paper, can't remember the number,. I had 9 minutes and 37 seconds to call.Missed the phone number, called directory assistance got the 780-842-4311 number no answer. Ran down stairs to get number off the internet, no connection ( dam Sasktel) , called directory assistance again, same number. oh well, wasn't meant to be so thought I would email from work. had shower, dropped hair dyrer on floor, broke hair dryer, got dressed, drove to work. Half way to work realized no purse, drove home, got purse, drove to work, no dam office keys, went home, got keys, drove back to work, got coffee, spilt coffee, and now am sitting writing a email to a radio morning guy, Go figure.
And so here I sit wondering what the rest of the day will bring. and to think I was given my good friend Theresa crap cause no live streaming of your radio station, how was I to enter this contest if my name was called so got a radio to put at the receptionist desk so I would not miss my name, she had strickt instructions to let me know if she heard my name, ( laughes, oh well now my secretary thinks I am totally nuts!)
oh and by the way my last name is spelt Niekamp, but pronounced kneecamp.

Any way to make a long story short, I got a call just now from the radio station and I got to plead my case and WOW I AM ENTERED!!!!!!!!! So now just to wait till September 8 for the announcement as to who won this contest!!!! Wish me luck, keep your fingers crossed, get a rabbits foot, find a four leaf clover etc etcetcetcetc. lol
