Think it finally stopped being various shades of grey last week. Lots of spring showers, still cold. Daylight savings time has arrived -YIPEEE! Still wearing a ski jacket. Countdown is on.

My goodness, this weekend was a hot one here in Saskatchewan, Friday we hit 38 degrees, Saturday was 41, yesterday was about 38 again. Almost reminds me of the DR weather, except no ocean to dive into, and the pools just aren't the same. We could use some rain, as the crops are starting to burn. I think when we get the rain we are in for a huge noisy storm!!!! but welcome the rain, hope it comes soon. Typical Canadian eh, never happy with the weather!! ;D Stay cool all

Colleen is due to arrive in Penticton tomorrow at 4:30. After sweltering in +40 temperatures off and on over the last two weeks, we are doing our best to cool it down somewhat so she doesn't suffer too much while she is visiting family and friends, lol! We're drowning in smoke from a horrific fire near Winthrop, WA - not the best welcome for my favourite dotter. Anyway, try not to miss Colleen too much while we bask in her presence here at home. We had Mark here a few weeks ago and it was all too short. Thank God for a long winter holiday in Sosua!!!! We'll take good care of Coll and we'll be thinking of all our friends and family in Sosua especially on Saturday, August 5th during our traditional Girl's Only day. Oh, don't you wish you could be at Turtle Beach with all of us? ?? Ask Coll for details when she returns.

Arik2... Mom is that you?? Turtle beach was a blast!! Can't wait till next year. Too early to count sleeps yet I am currntly in Coral Harbour, Nunavut. The sun is going down for a while now as winter is on it's way. It is only up for about 20 hours a day now, but gives off no warmth as it is too busy keeping everyone in Sosua warm and toasty. Only about 8 degrees. Brrrr. A little to the south the Polar Bears are already on the move. Yuck I think that means that winter is coming sooner than later. Very early for them to be in Churchill but there have been quite a few wandering thru town already. PS. Coll can only share the basic joys of ladies weekend... Don't even bother to ask her about the cactus... cause what happens at TURTLE BEACH stays at TURTLE BEACH... just like the rules of Sosua... what happens in Sosua stays in Sosua...

:-/ARGHHHHHHHHHHh I had to scrape my windshield this morning, and yesterday we work up to a lite skiff of snow!!!! NOT FUNNY, am just not ready for this. Last week when I went out at 6:45 am to drive my son to work I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me because it looked like a light dusting of frost on the lawn. No way I thought, it is only early September and even here on the rock it is too soon. When I turned the corner to the driveway I almost fainted, there was frost on the windshield!!!! Colleen I am free for the next couple of weeks if you need any help down there, I will sleep on your floor and work for free.

Wow! Not good when you get six inches of SNOW first thing in the morning!
You have our sympathies from Sosua
p.s. I could be rude and say how many inches Pam wakes up to, but thought I'd be 'clean' for a change.

Spanky you devil, yep got to let you know when I married my hubby 29 and a half years ago, ( by the way we are celebrating number 30 when we get to the DR) but I digress, when I asked him if he was sure that he could offer me 6 inches, he looked at me and smiled and said,."Darlin, I don't fold it in half for anyone!" lol god what a kidder he is, and still is!
