Hi tezzar, We called Sky service and asked for a voucher for bringing school supplies over. If you are flying with them call 1-888-571-0094 and get a customer service rep. tell them you want to bring school supplies over, if there is weight room left (a total of 50 kgs per flight) they will fax you a voucher. If they do not have any additional weight allowance left. they will tell you.I dont know what the other airlines do. Also if you visit the Beyond the Beach web site there is a good list on that site. What we did is notebooks, pencils, pens, and erasers. I cheched the list after we bought that and see that pens are not on the list, but we are going to take them anyway. There is also a list of large items that you can supply with cash donations. cause I don't think the airline would like a drinking fountain on the plane (giggle some airlines just don't have a sense of humor) anyway, we will also be leaving a donation at the office in Puerto Plata. coppersun2001
