Darn it captain, we don't arrive until the 18th. I really was hoping to meet you and your wife, after all these years! As far as I know, we will be seeing Olivia and Don when they are there, we just haven't worked out any details yet. When we do, maybe you can come back to Sosua for a second time for a meet and greet! mp

So now back in England - sunny and cold OK then ladies - the Pineapple Take a large Pineapple cut off the top and remove most of the flesh - taking care not to puncture (don't want it to leak do we !! Mix liquor together - fill pineapple and cover and leave to mature for 24 hours. Put the remaining flesh in a container and add the remaining liquor - cover and leave to mature as above. Strain liquor from flesh and bottle ready to top up the pineapple The flesh is used for "Fork Shooters" For party event we normally use mixture as follows: 1 bottle Kahlua 1 bottle normal rum 1 bottle 151 Mixture can, of course, be adjusted to suit individual taste. Pass around a group of friends (each with their own straw) - until mixture runs out or oblivion !! Enjoy fork shooters (Forbidden by Colleen to post the picture -) If a barbecue is close at hand - cut up the remainder of the pineapple and palce skin side down for a few minutes and then eat remainder of flesh from skin. Retire with Alka Seltzer if required. Enjoy Now to get on with opening 6 weeks mail - UGH !

That sounds kinda fun, but 151 in there? I think that it would be a might strong for us girls (or then again, maybe not as we'll be on holidays). Anyway, only 3 weeks left until take-off, and kris with only 1 week to go, I bet you're anxious. (We will have to chat b4u leave) Stay warm everyone. mp

copper, excited to meet your dad. Any guy who would do a pedi can't be all that bad. I can't imagine that I would ever have been able to talk my dad into that, ever! Too funny. Is Alf going along with him? (lol, yeah right eh?) mp

Hey, I have a manicure every time I come south. Like to have the hands and fingers clean. Guess I'm in touch with my feminine side. ;D ;D

MzPiggy, looks like we will be back in Sosua on the 19th. Roger, another director of BTBCF is staying in Sosua right now and his wife is coming down for a week on the 16th. So the 4 of us will meet at Checkpoint that day. What time is good for you? Just need to figure out transport.
Hope this is OK for you.

captain, you name the time that is best for you, as you have to arrange travel. Copper and I and our hubbies can be at Checkpoint whenever (I'm sure it will be ok with her) as we are all staying in Sosua. Early or late afternoon??? Let us know here!
